3 Years!

Today is our three year anniversary!
I can't believe it's been THREE years since our wedding but I love our life together so it makes sense.

Two weeks ago at my friend's wedding we got dressed up, danced and celebrated marriage and love. We danced to this song and it made me all emotional and happy. It's easy to get caught up in the routine of everyday life and forget how lucky we are. I know I do it. But when I think about it I KNOW I am so incredibly lucky to have Will as my partner in life. He is loving, supportive, patient and funny. He fits me perfectly and I love him so much.

I've loved all of our adventures in the past three years, whether they were quiet weekends at home doing mostly nothing or really fun marathon trips, everything has been so great and I cannot wait for the many, many more adventures we have to come. Most especially I cannot wait for the big adventure that awaits us in just four weeks or less!

I am so looking forward to welcoming our little one into the world and beginning the adventure of raising our child together. I couldn't imagine anything better in my life; to have a loving and supportive partner and bringing a child into the world with him. I love you Will! Happy three year anniversary!

Nashville Weekend Fun

We traveled to Nashville, TN this past weekend to celebrate my friend Lauren's wedding to DJ and enjoy some fun times with friends and have a little "babymoon" getaway. After attempting to find cheap airline rates (impossible) we decided to make the 11-ish hour drive to Nashville from Oklahoma City. I was nervous at first about how traveling at almost 9 months pregnant would be but it was overall a very easy drive and fun weekend! I loved getting to spend time with my wonderful group of high school friends and to have a little out-of-town adventure with Will, our last before baby arrives.

Our adventure begins...very early in the morning.

A stop at the welcome center in Arkansas and a fresh map!

It rained most of the way through Arkansas

Traffic was held up for a bit with road construction so I played around with my new camera

Our adventurous lunch stop in Proctor, Arkansas. Will refused to give any of his money to the city of Memphis after the NBA playoffs so we stopped here instead. It was definitely the most "hole-in-the-wall" place we have been to.

I had the brisket sandwich and potato salad

More driving and road trip fun!

At last, our destination! Nashville and our hotel! The drive was really not bad at all. Made it in less than 12 hours!

View from our hotel balcony

We met up for dinner at one of Lauren's favorite mexican restaurants.
Of course I had to get a photo of the sign!

So happy to be hanging out with my friends again!
It's been over 10 years since we graduated high school and still such good friends!

Our little family

Our brunch spot Friday morning had a cute back patio with basil growing in pots.
I hope my basil will look as nice and green as this.

Really good decaf coffee...surprisingly!

Our breakfast food at Fido...yum!

The local coffee brand in Nashville.

Yes, it tasted as good as it looks.

Brunching with LizAnne

It rained alot Friday but we still had fun exploring this cute section of the city.

In the used book store.

Before the Bachelorette, Baby! shower for Lauren and I on Friday.

Very excited about her honeymoon games!

And the travel lingerie comes home to Lauren!
Is it an adult onesie? Not sure...but what we do know is who will have it next!

Love her! (And she's next...!!!)

The girls at the shower and the cute banner behind us!

A dignified group photo at the rehearsal dinner later in the evening.

And the not-so-dignified photo. Apparently I have a labor coach!

My favorite photo of these two, taken on LizAnne's camera.
We have so much fun when we're together.

Up early the next morning for Big Bubba's 5k Dash in Hendersonville, TN.
The race bib is getting very hard to pin on my belly now!

Last race just the two of us and Baby W getting a free ride across the finish line.
She's on her own after this race!

Finishing! It was hilly and humid, but a very fun race with lots of great spectators to cheer us on along the course. Will ran a 20:59, 6th overall and 1st in his age group.
I ran 29:40 and was 3rd in my age group. Not bad for 34 weeks pregnant!

Apparently the ducks in Tennessee are on a low carb diet.

Waiting in line at Pancake Pantry for brunch

What we do while we wait!

More waiting and more photos. The boys were so patient with our constant need for group photos.

I loved how well we all (even the boys) coordinated our colors.
No one else was as excited about it as I was...

Cornmeal pancakes at Pancake Pantry

Jenni's amazing sweet potato pancakes...sugar rush!

After a rainy and humid Friday and Saturday morning in Nashville, the sun came out and I got my wish: pool time!

It's getting alot harder to take those feet photos.

Walking across the street from our hotel to the BBQ stand.

We found a local running store in Nashville and had to stop in.

Awesome cookies and even more awesome bakery name!

And it's wedding time! My handsome husband outside the wedding venue.

Our table! Such cute decorations!

The mini cupcake spread was so awesome looking and tasted even better. I had a bite of each variety.

The bride and her dad! Looking gorgeous as expected!

The new Mr. and Mrs. having a private moment after the ceremony. So cute!

Watching their post-wedding photos together.

I just love these beautiful ladies so much!
Wish the bride could be with us but she was off being gorgeous and married.

Our handsome men...minus Josh.

I love him so much and love our little family. Can't wait for our baby girl to be here with us!

Best friends.

Lauren is MARRIED! YAY!

The official and updated LIST. Yes, we are huge dorks.

The bride!

The girls. So pretty!

And we drive back home. The weekend went by way too fast!

We returned home Sunday evening to some really scary weather in OKC and the surrounding areas. We just barely missed a really scary tornado in Shawnee (drove through about 2 hours before it hit) and avoided the Edmond tornado as well. So thankful for safe travels, our home and cozy bed to return to. After the devastation in Oklahoma on Sunday and again on Monday in Moore, I am so incredibly thankful for my family, friends and a roof over my head.
